In 2013, we at Fantasy Football Analytics (FFA) released web apps to help people make better decisions in fantasy football based on the wisdom of the crowd. Over the past eight years, the community response has been incredibly supportive, and we continually improved the apps in response to user feedback. The community also contributed directly to the project, with a number of users making additions and edits to our public source R scripts on our GitHub repo and our ffanalytics R package. In sum, we provide web apps built by the people, for the people.
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Fantasy Football content creator to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for producing informative fantasy football content across including articles and data visualizations that we will share on our platform and social media channels. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of fantasy football, excellent communication skills, and a knack for creating compelling content that resonates with fantasy football enthusiasts on our site.
Key responsibilities
- Understand the FFA content strategy of utilizing data to create actionable fantasy football content.
- Writing informative and engaging articles on fantasy football strategy, player analysis, draft tips, waiver wire pickups, and more.
- Generating creative ideas for fantasy football content utilizing our web app and R package.
- Monitoring analytics and feedback to continuously improve content performance and audience engagement.
Nice-to-have skills (but not required):
- Proficiency in R/Python
- Familiarity with the FFA tools including the draft and line-up optimizer
- Basic knowledge of how to publish articles using WordPress
- Some availability on nights and weekends
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter that can thrive in a remote office environment
