Awesome! Will definitely be signing up for this tool when it becomes available.
If any site deserves my money, it’s this one! Not only have I had fun using it, but you’ve always inspired me to keep on geeking out on fantasy for years!
Are there any specifics around what features come with the premium account or planned features? I couldn’t find much in the “features” tab within the app.
Thanks!! Love the tool!
Thanks for reading! The premium account will allow you to use our Lineup Optimizer tool for setting lineups to DFS leagues as well as helping pick the highest scoring line-up for any given week in a seasonal league. We will be posting another article detailing this new tool as soon as we have weekly data available.
Didn’t hesitate to sign up. Looking forward to using the tool. Will it still utilize a “Wisdom of the crowd” approach? Grabbing data/projections across the net?
Much appreciated! That’s right, we will be using the same approach applied to weekly data.
Sounds great.
If any of you guys are interested in trying out a Draft Optimizer tool (where I recommend using FFA projections as an input), you can learn about it here: http://bit.ly/2ctKI6u
Are weekly projections still going to be available? (and if so, does it require premium sub?)
Corrected: You will be able to look at weekly projections through the projections app as well as scrape using the R package. Weekly optimized lineups will only be available to FFA Insider subscribers.
I was excited to purchase a subscription for this until the lineup optimizer died three picks into my auction last night! No matter the browser or number of reloads kept getting “unexpected error occurred while loading data”. Thankfully I did have some back up plans to fall back to, but was very disappointed. I hadn’t had a single issue through mock auctions until my actual paid auction came along 🙁
Sean, we apologize sincerely for the inconvenience. Our current server is having some difficulty handling traffic during peak hours. As we mentioned, it’s one of the main issues we’re looking to use subscription proceeds to correct. We recommend downloading our projections to use as a back up for live drafts.
I assumed that this had been the issue. I had downloaded the projections and that was part of the back up plans I fell back to. Unfortunately there is reasonable replacement option for using the lineup optimizer to highlight which players to target during an auction, and this is where you find the best value from your products. If you’re unable to handle peak hours and money leagues are really only drafting at peak hours it leaves next year as the earliest point I can hope to use it. Too much interest in a product is a great issue to have, until it makes the product unusable during a very limited window such as FF draft season. Hopefully you will find great success with daily leagues, but I am not a fan of them.
We’re working on making them more stable 🙂 You’ll also be able to access our weekly projections for season-long leagues.
How can I get a printout of your projections for 2018?
Hi Curtis,
We don’t have 2018 projections available yet but we’re working on them and should have them out in the coming weeks.
Thanks!
don’t get me wrong though, I love the product and can’t wait for it to be usable.
There are 2 things I geek out about, Sports and Computer science. What you guys are doing is awesome and it right up my alley. Would love to subscribe but my CS side is asking How do I know the payment is secure?
Thank you for the kind words. We use Stripe to process payments so we don’t hold on to any of your information. You can read more about their security measures here: https://stripe.com/docs/security/stripe. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Hi, do I need the pro account to download the week 1 data csv?
First, wanted to say thank you for a great service; I’ve used your tools with great success for the past two years and just purchased an insider subscription. I have a question: I’m trying to sort for week 1 projections but as of now, I can only set the projections and lineup optimizer at “full season” am I missing something obvious or do I need to pull the raw data and scrub it myself? Thanks!
same question 🙂
same question..I’m a subscriber..how do we sort for week 1?
We’re working on getting the weekly projections into the tool. Hope to have them up this week!
Thanks!
-Isaac
We worked tirelessly, and week 1 projections are now up! We’re still ironing out a couple bugs, but the projections are available 🙂
Hey Isaac,
My league is debating whether or not we should re-instate the IDP position. I basically lobbied to have it removed last season since I felt like it was too difficult to predict, too much boom/bust and just generally felt like a very random source of points that only decreased the amount of skill in the game.
Have you done any analysis of IDP positions (DL, DB, LB) to determine whether there is any truth to this sentiment? I believe it is a common critique of the IDP position but I can’t find a statistical analysis to back it up. I know you’ve done analysis on weekly variability of different stat categories, wonder if you could do the same with sacks, tackles, interceptions, forced fumbles etc?
Thanks man, your analysis is worth every cent!
Riley
Yes, IDP positions are less predictable than most offensive positions but are actually more predictable than DST and K. So I guess it depends on your league’s goal. For info how to examine the accuracy of projections by position, see here:
https://fantasyfootballanalytics.net/2015/07/accuracy-of-fantasy-football-projections-interactive-scatterplot-in-r.html
Do we need a subscription in order to see all of the data (e.g. VOR, ADP, ECR Rank, etc.) in the projections app? I currently have a free account and those columns are showing no data.
Hi Tim,
You were probably looking at projections for Week 1. Weekly projections do not include VOR, ADP, or ECR Rank. If you change to seasonal projections you should see those.
Hope that helps,
Isaac
I’m having the same issue. How do you switch between weekly and seasonal projections?
Just click “Change Data Settings” on either app and select “Full Season” under the week drop-down box
Will insider access include average auction values on the projections app?
Hi Kothari,
You will be able to see AAV if you are looking at seasonal projections (not weekly projections).
Hope that helps,
Isaac
Is that for the free app? Or only for insider?
We have AAV listed in both apps for free.
I just subscribed, but am not getting AAV in any of the apps. I’m trying to calculate projections with my league settings. Is there a box I need to check?
Could you take a screenshot of what you mean? Make sure you’re looking at seasonal projections (not weekly ones).
For weekly projections, it would really help to have FanDuel / DK salary info populated, since at this point AAV, ADP is useless when we are looking at scoring settings for DFS. Or, make the tables in the lineup optimizer downloadable.
Hi Dan,
FanDuel and DK salary are populated. Just select them from the League Scoring option when selecting week 1. For more info, see here:
https://fantasyfootballanalytics.net/2016/09/win-daily-fantasy-dfs-league-lineup-optimizer.html
Hope that helps,
Isaac
I was meaning for projections. I like to download the spreadsheets and do my own sorting. However, projections doesn’t have salary. The lineup optimizer does, but doesn’t allow you to download the full list.
Will you be able to add FanDuel / DK salary to the projections app?
We can add that to our to-do list, thanks!
Super, this will be very helpful and something which I’ve not seen on other sites.
Just signed up for the paid service; a few questions:
1) Can I somehow save my league scoring settings vs. having to reenter them every time I want to get projections?
2) What is the best method to see who to start per week per your aggregated projections? Can I somehow ‘save a roster’ so that it essentially racks and stacks for me? Or do I have to compare all the players manually?
3) There is a modifier for points allowed for DST, but what about yards allowed?
same — a “save settings” feature would be great
Hi Jason,
These aren’t currently features, but we can add them to our to-do list, thanks!
-Isaac
I’d also love this feature, even if it requires a premium account
Ditto for me. I love the tool but I play in multiple leagues, all with different scoring settings, so having to enter each of them manually multiple times a week is a chore. I’m on the fence about signing up for the paid service, that feature would definitely convince me!
With regards to #1, it seems a short term solution would be to download the raw projections and have your formulas saved in excel based on scoring in your league?
That would definitely help throughout the week as I revisit the projections, but would still have to do the whole process every week.
Ill play around with it though.
I used your projections for the 2016 Season for my draft and it was fantastic! I was just wondering if you were planning on expanding on the sources you gather for you weekly projections. I noticed there were only 4 compared to the 8 you used for the full season projections.
Hi Ronny,
We can absolutely look into adding more sources. Which (publicly available) sources did you have in mind?
Thanks,
Isaac
FFToday.com, FOX Sports, numberFire, STATS.com, and fantasydata.com would be great additions if you could incorporate them!
I am trying to sign in but keeping getting error message, Can you help me ?
What error message were you getting? For more info on why the apps were down, see here:
https://fantasyfootballanalytics.net/app-down-heavy-traffic
Hello, I just subscribed to your lineup optimization app. Our league isn’t based on buying any players, can I still use this??
What is your league based on? Snake draft? If so, see here: https://fantasyfootballanalytics.net/2013/09/win-your-fantasy-football-snake-draft.html
Yea, our league was a snake draft. Will it still work? Also, can you lead me through what exactly I should do with my browser to allow for the projections and lineup app to work? Thank you so much and I plan on showing this to the rest of my team
You should be able to use our Projections tool/Snake Draft app:
http://apps.fantasyfootballanalytics.net/
Thanks, man! Last question about the line up app with snake draft, what do you set the “cap” to? Very happy about subscribing to your apps!
If you don’t have a league salary cap, the lineup optimizer won’t be helpful. Use the Projections/Snake Draft tool instead:
http://apps.fantasyfootballanalytics.net/
For more info how to use that tool, see here:
https://fantasyfootballanalytics.net/2013/09/win-your-fantasy-football-snake-draft.html
The projections are currently outdated since they haven’t been updated since the 5th. There is injury news that has come out and shifted them. Will you be updating?
https://fantasyfootballanalytics.net/about-the-site/faq#weeklyWhen
Thanks for the updating projections this morning!
Is there a way to exclude teams (or match ups) for the optimizer tool. On the daily site (eg Draft Kings), they have afternoon only, primetime etc. and it would be extremely helpful to have ability to screen out players that are not in those time slots. Thanks. Great work!
We can add that to our to-do list, thanks!
Hello Isacc I have been reading your site for a while , now a subscriber.
Same request as Nathan , it will be very helpful to exclude teams , for those of us that play in different slates.
Thanks
This is awesome! I don’t play much daily but if you add a “save scoring settings” feature to the projections app I would certainly become a paying member! Thanks for everything you guys do!
Just to note that there is an error right now when trying to use the optimizer for Week 2 that needs to get cleaned up.
An error has occurred:
“nternal error in RS_DBI_getConnection: corrupt handle
In call:
” , Production server: True
Hey, sorry for the trouble! We’d need more info to reproduce. What settings are you using (esp. specific changes you made)? You might try these first:
https://fantasyfootballanalytics.net/about-the-site/faq#errors
Hi Isaac,I notice that you have stock analysis on your site but it does not seem to work. Do you still support this app?
Love the football stuff. Can’t wait to see changes being discussed.
Hi Tim,
We’re aware of this issue and are unsure why it’s not working. We’ve reached out to the Shiny forums, and are waiting on their technical support:
https://groups.google.com/forum/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=footer#!msg/shiny-discuss/y51MsvUEvkk/Zall-COjAwAJ
Thanks,
Isaac
I really enjoy your projections and very much enjoy using it as a tool in my research. As a suggestion, perhaps you can set it up to automatically pull at a certain time each day so it is updated daily and reflects injury news more accurately. For instance, it is 10/1, but the last update shows 9/29. The little injury news is helpful especially for finding value and the injury reports come out on Friday. In the https://fantasyfootballanalytics.net/about-the-site/faq#weeklyWhen link, it suggests that you update daily.
We’ll have them updated again before the games tomorrow!
I use the PlayerID when working with downloaded weekly projections in R. i noticed some players have the same ID which can cause havoc with scripts. Here is an example.
2531332 null Terrelle Pryor WR CLE
2531332 null Terrelle Pryor QB CLE
For players that play multiple positions, we provide a row for each position, because their position rank and VOR differs for each position.
Hi Isaac. I was convinced T.Pryor WR and T.Pryor QB were 2 different people. My bad. 🙂
disregard my previous question
Good morning — when I am trying to find an optimal Fan Duel Lineup for the week, I am setting the parameters, it runs through the calculations, but the lineup comes up blank — any help would be appreciated
Hi Thomas. Please take a look at our troubleshooting tips here: https://fantasyfootballanalytics.net/about-the-site/faq#appNotLoading.
For some reason the only lineups that are not loading are the fan duel ones..Yahoo DFS and Draft Kings seem to work fine, but no players are populating when I select Fan Duel in the Data Settings
Can you please provide a bit more information about what browser you used so we can reproduce the error and resolve?
Sorry, I tried it on both chrome and Internet Explorer
Thanks for the additional feedback, we will look into this issue to resolve.
Good morning — week 9 fan duel players still not loading in the lineup optimizer option.
I am interested in your site and subscribing, however I was wondering if you can share any data in terms of how effective your optimal lineups have been in terms of actually winning or having top scores? There are tons of sites out there asking for money, just want to be sure I spend my money where it is most beneficial. Thank you.
You can find more information on our accuracy as compared to other sites here: https://fantasyfootballanalytics.net/2016/03/best-fantasy-football-projections-2016-update.html
I have signed in and my account keeps saying this is a free account and I can’t get the lineup optimizer to work
same here
I have signed in and my account keeps saying this is a free account and I can’t get the lineup optimizer to work
I’m running into the same problem – is there any solution yet?
Should be resolved now!
the free account issue seems to be happening for 6 days now… Thank you for the communication that you are aware of the situation and are working towards a resolution. Is there an ETA on that resolution?
Hi Dennis, this issue should be fixed now. Thank you for your patience!
I’m a big fan of your website. Your application of traditional statistic principles to fantasy football seems really unique. I’m curious if you have plans to expand this to other sports, outside of football.
Hi, also big fan of the site and thanks for the work you do. Is it possible to get a VOR from the end of season fantasy stats from this year?
I am going to use either your site or Fantasy Nerds as my primary support site in managing my fantasy football teams next season.
How are U different then the other site?
Frank,
See here for how we’re different:

I have tried the free app a few times and have used the trouble shooting tips from the help page, but the app does not save my custom league settings. Also, it shows often shows other user’s email addresses in the “Signed in as:” box at the top of the page. Is this the normal operation of the free app? Why is it showing other user’s email addresses? Does it only store custom league settings in the paid version?
Hi Phil. We are aware of this issue, it should be resolved shortly. We are currently working on the ability to save custom league settings as well but this this only be available in the paid version.
Will paid subscribers get priority access over no-payers during peak usage times? I love your auction app, but it just doesn’t update fast enough to survive a draft for me. But I would be willing to pay if I knew that the performance would not die during peak usage times.
Hi Nathan, we will keep an eye on performance as we get closer and we continuously work on optimizing our code to provide the best experience for all of our users.
Can someone answer why after creating a profile, paying for a subscription, that my account still says free account? Not all of the features such as accuracy, save custom settings, etc., are not accessible. Again, I signed up and paid for a subscription and verified the 4.99 deduction from my account.
Thank you!
Hello, try first clearing your cache and logging in again.
What is the email you registered with so I can confirm successful payment?
sorry, I listed wrong email address initially. I signed up under ajjaworski72@gmail.com on July 21st.
This should have been fixed now. Could you try and log in again?
Good Morning!
I’m really trying to figure out the DFS aspect of the app, but I’m not just figuring it out. Is there a walk-through on how to create a lineup for FanDuel? I can’t even find the place to pull FanDuel prices so they reflect on the players. I’m not sure if there is a simpler way to do this or if there is some documentation as to how to setup teams using your app.
Thanks!
Tibor
https://fantasyfootballanalytics.net/2016/09/win-daily-fantasy-dfs-league-lineup-optimizer.html
Is there an email address I can send screenshots to of what I’m doing? Values for players are not pulling in. Trying it on both Edge and Chrome. Do we need to adjust actual price for each player we pick? Also, under general settings, I can’t seem to pick week 1 for the season. Is that available yet? Sorry for the numerous questions, just trying to maximize my time and effort with the tool.
Not a problem, you can select the DFS scoring settings under “League Scoring” when in the lineup optimizer.
We do not have the 2017 Week 1 projections up yet but they will be coming soon! If you have any additional questions feel free to email sales@fantasyfootballanalytics.net
That would make sense then. Appreciate the quick response!
Hello today I became a subscriber . However every time I tried to run the optimizer for Fanduel I am having issues. And the site is very slow.
Hi Carlos, we do not have Week 1 projections up yet so the optimizer will not populate for Fanduel.
If you’re seeing any specific errors please provide the additional information requested here: https://fantasyfootballanalytics.net/about-the-site/faq#errors
Hello Val,
Thanks for your reply and apologies for not reading the post before mine. That makes sense, we still have a few more weeks before real football is here.
Thanks again and looking forward to the new season.
The “apps” page doesn’t load. It is blank. Yes, I am not blocking popups. I tried Chrome and IE. No good. Tried from home and on wireless network. Tried everything. Blank page every time. Figured you needed to sign up, but you sign up FROM the apps page that doesn’t load.
https://fantasyfootballanalytics.net/about-the-site/faq#appNotLoading
I’m very excited about your auction optimizer tool! However, I’m trying to account for other teams’ keepers and I can’t seem to figure out how to populate the “Other Players Drafted” table let alone apply them to certain teams. Any help would be appreciated!
Clicking the player’s name marks them off as “Other Players Drafted”
Stoked about FFA Insider, you guys definitely deserve a little taste of my championship winnings! I have a question though, have you all thought about developing a weekly lineup optimizer for season long leagues? Something you could save your roster in and could use to adjust starters based on projections and match-up. Thanks!
Ish
Hey Jason, thanks for the kind words. We will be going live with weekly projections/lineups soon, stay tuned!
Hoping to get FanDuel projections for Week 1 soon. Would like to take advantage of the long weekend to prep for next weekend. At this point, it only appears DraftKings, FantasyScore, and Yahoo DFS are available.
Also, when using the Lineup Analyzer, using DraftKings scoring, I click on the “Select Column” button. In the menu, I attempt to click on the last two buttons (Sleeper and Pts/$), but they do not respond. Having the Pts/$ available would be huge!
Keep up the great work, I can’t wait to utilize this data #FTW #GDL
Hey guys, great site. Just subscribed as an insider. I’m using my own optimization algorithm for DFS, but I’d love to export your Lineup Optimizer data for a given week into a CSV that has the Draft Kings/FanDuel specific scores and salaries. My optimizer would then use this data. How can I do this?
I see how I can export on the projections site, but it doesn’t seem like I can export the DK and FD specific scores and salaries out of that spreadsheet. Conversely, if I go to the lineup optimizer, all of the data appears to be there and used by your optimizer, but I cannot export it.
So my question is, how can I export the Lineup Optimizer raw data into a csv? Many thanks and keep up the great work. Apologies if this question has been asked before – if so I missed it.
Hi Martin, you can download the custom rankings with scoring settings set to DraftKings or FanDuel to get the raw data in csv format.
Hey Val – To follow up – When I go to the “Projections” tab of the app, and I go to “League Settings” up top, the only scoring settings that are available are then following: FFAnalytics, ESPN, Half PPR, MFL Draft, NFL, PPR, and Yahoo. These persist even if I have the lineups set to week 2 (not season). I can get the option for Draft Kings/Fan Duel league settings only in the Lineup Optimizer, which does not appear to have a raw csv export. Can you tell me what I’m doing wrong?
Hi,
Can support please email me? Every time I log into my account on weekly projections, my screen goes dark and the page freezes. I cleared history and cache and it happens every time.
Trying to get projections, it’s week 1. Thanks!
The daily projections for week 2 are not working..I did everything on the FAQ and I am still getting errors for Fanduel Week 2…so frustrating,,,any advice?
I keep getting a strange error when trying to select draftkings lineup. Michael Thomas appears twice.
Also, I still cannot figure out what the purpose of clicking “pick” is supposed to do.
Or, what the “other players drafted” means or is supposed to do.
Are there some better instructions as to how to use the lineup optimizer?
I used this with great success last year, and this year, none of it makes any sense.
Last week, I changed the payment info on my FFA Insider subscription, and haven’t been able to access any of the apps since. I get an “Ajax error” every time before it disconnects from the server. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Hey Matt, you should be good to go now. Just clear your cache and try logging in again.
For the week 8 projections, I am currently unable to download the projections tables. When i move my cursor over the blue “download” button, I get a red circle indicating that I can’t download. Note that I am an FFA insider.
Hi Martin, try logging out and logging back in!
Hi Val,
I can’t seem to get the grid filters to work when I am on the projection site. Can you help me with that?
Hi Tim,
Please provide the additional detail requested here so we can look into this error: https://fantasyfootballanalytics.net/about-the-site/faq#errors
Thanks!
Hi Val,
I do not get an error message. If I select RB and then sleepers, I get a screen that states “No data available in table”
Love you site and will be using it exclusively next year. Are you going to have any off season information, or perhaps you’ll pick this up during the summer. Please let me know so I can subscribe if needed. I appreciate any details you can share. Thanks for the great site.
https://fantasyfootballanalytics.net/2018/01/off-season-content.html
Do you have a secure site to sign up for the monthly amount?
You can go to the ‘https’ version of the apps (the ‘s’ in https stands for “secure”): https://apps.fantasyfootballanalytics.net/
What is the main web address for the site. I’d like to bookmark it, but when I try opening the site I go to old pages. Thanks.. David
Main page
Apps
Thanks!
When I go to the offseason portion of the site, I’m not finding where to sign in? I’m taking advantage of your offseason information.. Thanks for any help you can provide.
Hi David,
We describe how to look at Historical Projections, Accuracy, and Custom Tiers here: https://fantasyfootballanalytics.net/2018/01/off-season-content.html
Thanks!
Hi Val, I am not seeing anything about custom tiers on that website that you shared. The gold mine list for this championship week? Is that available? Thanks and sorry to harp on this.. Peace, dg
“Users can customize their tiers by changing the Cohens d thresholds in the app (under “General Settings”). If you want more players in the same tier (i.e., fewer tiers), make the threshold values larger. If you want fewer players in the same tier (i.e., more tiers), make the threshold values smaller.”
There was no gold mining article this week but the same charts are available in the app.
Thanks!
Hi,
Excited to start another season with FFA Insider. I have some custom league settings saved within my account, but I’ve noticed that I’m not able to modify or delete any of those saved league settings. If I change the settings in one of the leagues and hit “save,” the changes are not saved the next time I log in. If I go to the “delete custom settings” tab, nothing happens when I click “delete” on any league, and they’re still in there the next time I log in. Is there any way to work around this?
We aren’t able to reproduce. Please provide the specific steps you’re taking, making sure to follow the instructions here:
https://fantasyfootballanalytics.net/2017/08/introducing-saving-custom-settings.html
Are you clicking “Save Custom Settings” or just “Save Settings” on the league setting dialog? The latter does not create a custom setting and will revert to default upon return. You will need to save custom Settings in order to be able to recall those from the league setting menu.
If it’s still not working, please provide the info we request in order to be able to reproduce:
https://fantasyfootballanalytics.net/about-the-site/faq#errors
Hello I subscribed and I am still getting the error when I go to save custom settings. It says please login to use this feature but I am logged in.
https://fantasyfootballanalytics.net/2017/08/introducing-saving-custom-settings.html
Just purchased the $4.99 subscription. Does the snake draft app account for players being taken off the board, and adjusting value on the fly to real time picks? If not, what’s the best way to account for this?
Hello – I’m trying to use the webapp and it either hangs or tells me I am logged out. Any suggestions?
https://fantasyfootballanalytics.net/about-the-site/faq#appNotLoading
Hi, this is my first year using the app (subscribed) and it was very helpful during my draft. I am experiencing a few questions/concerns I was hoping t get some guidance on:
1. What app do I then use on a weekly basis? I think it is lineup optimizer.
2. Are there resources on how to use the app weekly? If it is lineup optimizer I guess I am not clear on how to evaluate who to start/sit/pickup to replace a current player I have. The league is through yahoo
3. I have used the custom league settings. When I add players to my roster in the lineup optimizer and then hit save, the app gives me a message “disconnected from server” and nothing gets saved.
Thank you in advance for any help!
I’m seeing “FantasyScore” as the only daily fantasy scoring option for week 2 where I normally also see Yahoo and Fanduel. Am I doing something wrong or does that data not exist yet?
Salaries in the week 4 optimizer do not match those on DraftKings!
Do you have rest of the season rankings?
Hi, big fan of yours. I was just wondering when you guys would be uploading your new rankings for this upcoming year. I use them for all my fantasy leagues.
They’re up!
Is the server down? Love this site but it’s not allowing me to join FFA Insider or connect to any of the apps. I tried on multiple computers and multiple time today to make sure it wasn’t on my end but still just getting a “Disconnected from the Server” message.
Hi Lew, please see the FAQ.
Hi Issac, I’m currently having issues accessing the server for 2020 week 17 data. I’ve worked through all of the FAQ error steps and have tried on multiple devices and browsers. Is the app currently down? And is there any estimate when it will be back up?
Is the lineup optimizer suppose to work with my season-long leagues?
Hello Cassie and thank you for taking the time to post on our site. The best place to find projections is through our projections tab.
I am in a league that only counts TD’s and points scored by place kickers. Will the projections provided by your paid subscription include that information for the weekly matchups as well as for the remainder of the season?
Is this website even currently active? All the front page results are from 2022
Yes, we provide the latest projections in the webapp: https://apps.fantasyfootballanalytics.net
