Week 5 Start Suggestions Based on Risk/Reward

As the bye weeks have hit many of you are in predicaments about who to start. A lot of you are looking for whom to start as your 2nd/3rd receiver or flex position.

Here are my best suggestions for you to make a leap in your leagues current standings.

For those of you tops in your league (record or points wise) I would highly recommend playing the “safer” player, maybe one you see on this list as less risky. Doing this your probability of hitting your given projection is more likely. Looking at these projections some players I would recommend throwing in your lineup are the guys with a >+/- 1.5. These guys will give you the points you’re looking for and keep you competitive and tops in your league.

For those of you struggling looking to make a jump in your league it’s time to have fun and give a guy a chance who could snap. What I mean when stating this is look at the list and highlight your players that are projected a good amount of points and have high risk high reward ability. Some players that jump out to me are Kendall Wright, Vincent Brown, Denarious Moore, Rueben Randle and Golden Tate.  Get these guys in your lineups as our analysts see these guys with the potential to have big weeks. I would start these guys over Tavon Austin, Cecil Shorts, Brian Hartline and all the flex running backs you’re banking on getting you your 8-10 points. Again, more risky but higher reward. Make a play and when it works make sure to chirp in all your buddies’ ears.

Give these ideas a shot. For some of you it’s about keeping your position near the tops of your league and for others it’s time to switch it up and go for the homerun. Look at these projections carefully as a lot of research has been put into this. Feel free to give us your feedback after the week or if you strongly disagree with the projections.
