New App Now Available For Beta Testing

We are introducing a new app—with exclusive first beta access for FFA Insiders. For more info about FFA Insider and how to sign up, see here: https://fantasyfootballanalytics.net/2016/08/introducing-ffa-insider.html. This offseason we’ve been working hard to introduce the next generation of our FFA Projection and Lineup Optimizer apps and are excited to provide to our subscribers to test out and provide feedback. You can access the new app at the link below:

http://apps.fantasyfootballanalytics.net

UI

The new app has a cleaner and easier-to-use interface.

Optimization

The app takes some time to load (please be patient during initial load), but should be much faster and more responsive once it has fully loaded. We are working hard to optimize the app to improve loading and computation times, which should result in an overall smoother experience.

Features

This new app has a similar feature set to the original FFA apps but it has been optimized for mobile use. We use Plotly for mobile graphing and are continuing to optimize the code to be more responsive once fully loaded. The app also pulls from the same datasets as our current app.

Feedback

We have greatly improved the apps over the years in response to feedback from our users. Give it a test run and let us know your thoughts in the comments (or via our Google form for bug reporting)!

Hi. Just took a look at the new app. Do you have instructions for its use? I have been using FFA successfully for dfs Fanduel on the NFL.

Just getting back on, I like the new look. Did the saved custom scoring settings, from the previous app, get erased?

I use the raw projection downloads all the time. Any chance you can add those back?

How do I adjust the amount I have paid for a player on my team so the optimal team will adjust when accounting for my remaining budget?

If locking a player on my team or excluding a player since they are selected by a different team how do I undo this action? Accidental clicks happen.

Great new app and appears to be more stable so thank you!

      Hello Kyle,
Once you have selected the settings you wish to use, head over to the optimizer. If you unlock a player in the bottom chart, you can then double click on their salary above and change the amount you paid. This will update the amount spent. I hope this helps.

How do you adjust the price paid for a player when selecting them? Not being able to do this makes the optimized team not accurate.

Once you have selected the settings you want, head over to the optimizer and unlock a player in the chart at the bottom of the page. Then find the player in the box above and double click on their salary and adjust the amount. This should adjust the chart for you. Thanks for your patience.

How do you recommend using this LIVE during an auction draft?

I have used the older version live the past several years and love it! If it is a keeper league log in 20 minutes before the draft and enter them all (exclude on the new app). If you have keepers go ahead and unlock and enter the price you kept them for. Then during the draft it will constantly update as people draft. Just search and exclude all picked by others. Just my 2 cents 🙂

Try a couple mock drafts with it to get used to it.

For the weekly lineup optimizer, are there any plans on bringing back the option to create builds using floor, ceiling, and mean projections?

When do the projections get updated for a new week? Also, do they get updated during the week as Analysts opinions may change?

In previous versions of the app there was a way to select players to compare side by side… does this functionality exists in the new version? If so… where is it?

Side by side comparisons is something that isn’t currently available, but as we continue to build and develop our new app now in beta it is something we could look at in the future. Currently, using the projections tab is the best way for you to compare players.
